18th June 2017 // 0 Comments

All sri lankans know that the White Van abductions were done by the Sri Lanka’s special force under the instruction of Rajapaksha family members who were ruling Sri Lanka. At that period anyone who opposes the Rajapaksha government were taken in a white van and killed or made to disappear. Sinhala Journalists who respected human rights and Tamil politicians were common victims.  The current President Maithiri was a minister under Rajapaksha and it is not a secret that he knew the killings and kidnappings were done by the government forces with the support of the defence department, but refuses to take any action against these killings as most of the victims were Tamil leaders and Human right activists. The current Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe also knows […]

18th June 2017 // 0 Comments

Sampanthan on crucial matters such as de-militarisation, resettlement, tracing the enforced disappeared, international investigations and on achieving a federal solution have not been materialised. The Eezham Tamils in the North-East are losing faith on Opposition Leader. Instead, the Tamil people look upon Justice Wigneswaran as their leader, said Suresh Premachandran, the leader of the EPRLF, one of the constituent parties of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA). Three of the four parties comprising the TNA stand with Wigneswaran. Tamil people have delivered their message to the ITAK through the shutdown and agitations in Jaffna, Ki’linochchi, Mullaiththeevu and Vavuniyaa. There was also much support coming from Eastern province, the former TNA […]

TNA digging its own grave!

By Manekshaw The Northern Provincial Council (NPC) four years after its formation is now in upheaval following the report released by a special committee which was appointed by Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran to probe into allegations against four NPC Ministers. Chief Minister Wigneswaran was compelled to appoint the three-member special committee headed by retired judicial official S. Thiyakenthiran and including a retired senior Sri Lanka Administrative Service officer S. Pathmanathan. Since the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) remains the ruling party in the NPC, the formation of the special committee was not discussed with the hierarchy of the TNA and it was entirely decided by the Chief Minister following a barrage of accusations brought against all four NPC Ministers by Opposition members and even by several […]

PM Ranils game to oust CM Wigneswaran

18th June 2017 // 0 Comments

PM Ranil was not in talking terms with Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran and he is accused of a plot to oust  CM Wigneswaran from office as the Chief Minister of the Northern Province. PM Ranil is called a ‘fox’ in political arena and he cleverly fools TNA leading MP’s by promising to implement a political package. The Sinhala politicians have been cheating the Tamils since independence from British of offering broken promises of equal rights. The Sinhala leaders have divided the Tamil MP’s by offering Minister posts and bribes and ruled the country until the Tamil youth rose against the government. The outcome of the failing of democratically elected MP’s to deliver a political package and discrimination in Education and Jobs to Tamils […]
