We will continue to discriminate against Tamils – Racist Colombo Archbishop

A strong supporter of former President Mahinda during the killing of more than 40,000 Tamil civilians by the government forces in May 2009, the Colombo Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith a well known Sinhala Racist have asked the International community to “mind their own business” without interfering with the affairs of Sri Lanka. TNA bows out of fight to get Opposition Leadership

The TNA would not resort to legal action to retain the post of Opposition Leader in parliament, its MP Mavai Senathiraja said, on Saturday. Addressing the media, in Jaffna, the MP said that his party would not legally contest the appointment of Mahinda Rajapaksa to the post of Opposition Leader which had been held by TNA MP R Sampanthan. However, the TNA has pointed out to the Speaker and Leader of the House that the appointment of the Opposition Leader should be done in keeping with the constitutional provisions. New governors appointed for three provinces have sworn in before President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (07). Accordingly, the new governors were appointed for Uva, Sabaragamuwa and Northern provinces. Newly appointed governors are as follows: 1 Mr Keerthi Tennakoon – Governor of Uva Province 2 Senior Lecturer Dr Dhamma Dissanayake – Governor of Sabaragamuwa Province 3 Dr Suren Ragawan – Governor of Northern Province The new governor for the Southern Province is yet to be appointed.
