General offers amnesty for LTTE
The former military commander of Sri Lanka standing for presidency has pledged the main Tamil party to grant a general amnesty for all former militants. Gen Sarath Fonseka has submitted a proposal named “Immediate Relief Measures for war affected persons,” to the leader of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA).
