Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP) Leader Parliamentarian, Douglas Devananda said his party has no connection to the assassinations of Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Former Parliamentarian Nadaraja Raviraj and UNP Jaffna District Parliamentarian Thiyagarajah Maheswaran.
He said the truth behind the assassination of Kapilnath in Chavakachcheri will be soon revealed to the people. Therefore, people will very soon know that the EPDP has no connection to any of the murders.
Meanwhile, he said it is his attempts and hard work that has resulted in the releasing of lands in Valikamam-East and Valikamam-North for people to resettle. However, certain other parties who do not deserve credit are demanding it.
“We are functioning in the similar manner how we joined hands with the former government. Even if we joined hands we stood up for our rights. Unstable political leadership in the past have resulted many setbacks in our society,” he said.
Devananda said the above at the event, ‘Actual Change’, held in Thenmarachchi-Jaffna recently. EPDP National Organizer Pasupathy Seevaratnam, Thenmarchchi Organizer of EPDP Soosaimuthu Alexander, Vadamarachchi Organiser Srirangeswaran participated in the event.
