TGTE to reveal names of alleged war criminals

The Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE) said it will release the first batch of names of Sri Lanka’s alleged war criminals at tomorrow’s (May 18) 5th anniversary commemoration ceremony in the USA, that will revisit the final phases of the war in which they claim the ‘killing of a large number of Tamils’. The TGTE says the first batch of names will include important political and military leaders who were allegedly responsible over the years for killing large numbers of Tamils.
A TGTE media release says “this year marks the 5th anniversary of the mass killing of Tamils by the Sri Lankan security forces in the final months of the war in 2009. The TGTE have declared a week of mourning from May 11 – 18 to commemorate these killings”.
Meanwhile, the TGTE has invited Ramsey Clark, former Attorney General of the US ,to deliver the Inaugural Mullivaikal Memorial Lecture on Monday the 18 May, at 6.30 p.m. at the New York County Lawyer’s Association orgnized by the TGTE.
The TGTE said on 18 May, declared by it as a Day of Mourning of the Tamil nation, that it is pleased to announce the inauguration of the Mullivaikkal Memorial Lecture Series. The inaugural lecture will be delivered by the former US Attorney-General Ramsay Clark.
