The Chief Executive Officer of Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) Dilantha Withanage has stated that his organization is extremely delighted about Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) victory as well as electing Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister.
He made these comments in response to a question raised by ‘Sri Lanka Mirror’ regarding the BBS’s opinion toward the result of the Indian general election.
He further stated “it is certain that Modi’s victory will not only make an influence on India, but specially on Asia region and economic and political sectors of the rest of the world . We believe that Prime Minister will be able to eliminate extremism and separatism operating in this region.”
The Sri Lankan president who successfully fooled PM Manmohan Singh of promising to implementing a political package (13+ amendment) to solve the Tamil Minority discriminated by his government, believes that Modi is a easier target to fool as Modi has NOT had the opportunity of dealing with state leaders and was exited to be congratulated by President Mahinda.
Modi tweeted saying it was “wonderful” speaking to President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday after the President telephoned him to wish him on his victory. “It was wonderful speaking to you earlier today. I look forward to strong relations between Sri Lanka & India,” Modi tweeted.
Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, may be offered Defence or even the post of Lok Sabha Speaker. People close to her argue that she won’t accept the post of Speaker as she is keen on working as a minister. As she is a close friend of Sri Lankan President Mahinda and his brother the Sri Lankas Defence Secretary she will be closer to the SL Government and the Tamils will continue to suffer under the Racist government of Sri Lanka with continues help from Indian Government.
The external affairs portfolio could go to Sushma Swaraj, It’s also not clear if she would be willing to accept the foreign portfolio. The Advani camp could pitch in for a last-ditch fight for honour and get her placed as the home minister or defence minister.
Meanwhile, Dilantha Withanage expressed BBS’s utter displeasure towards the media statement issued by the Minister of National Languages and Social Integration, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, which cited that the victory of Narendra Modi led BJP in the Indian general election will bring a dark era to the Asian region.
