All the Tamil Militants kept in Secret Camps after surrendering with ‘White Flag’ in Sri Lanka were killed by Mahinda Government

War Crime sri lanka-Tamil Militants who surrendered with White Flag after UN negotiated the surrender were taken to Secret Camps by Sri Lanka forces in May 2009- Are They Still Alive? NO says PM Ranil

Were they killed in these camps by Mahinda’s Government forces? I cannot speak for the previous government says PM Ranil

“After we took over the government, there are no secret camps. I cannot speak for the time before that,” PM Wickremesinghe (said in Jaffna on Friday March 27).

pulidevanIn addition to thousands of Tamil militants More than 1000 LTTE Leaders and their family members who surrendered with white flag after UN negotiated the surrender were taken away to secret camps by the Sri Lankan forces in May 2009. It is believed that the Girls were raped and killed and the men were killed in cold blood.

This war will not really be over until all information is released on missing people. We have reported many times the terrible cruelty suffered by Tamils in the final stages of the war, which wound down just as the summer of 2009 began heating up. Now the GoSL needs to keep moving forward and do everything possible to restore balance, and that again, is all about accountability and full disclosure.

Proof of secret camps Prime Minister Wickremesinghe denies exist

abHU_LmI5zAmKeppapulavu secret camp & Mullaitivu secret camp – MP Suresh Premachandran has demanded the new government in parliament and outside to conduct a thorough investigation into the credible reports of secret camps.

The Sri Lankan NEW government said that it is even ready to allow ‘unannounced’ visits to places allegedly used as secret detention ‘camps’ in any part of the country but the list of persons who are in detention will not be made public.

Reiterating the government’s commitment to investigate accusations pertaining to such facilities, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mahishini Colonne said that the list of persons in government custody had been shared with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) though it couldn’t be made public.

isaipriya-and-Chennel-4-21The FM spokesperson was responding to a query by The Island whether the government would brief the Colombo based diplomatic community as regards those in custody on terrorism charges to clear misconception among international community in the wake of US Secretary of State John Kerry’s call during his recent visit here to release the remaining political prisoners.

Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe recently told The Island that 54 persons who had been convicted on terrorism charges were serving prison terms; indictments were being prepared against 85 others; cases were pending against 134; eight given bail and 45 convicts released through courts after rehabilitation.

The ICRC spokesperson in Colombo, Ms Sarasi Wijeratne, in a statement issued, following a five-day visit in March undertaken by ICRC Director of Operations, Dominik Stillhart to Colombo, placed the number of complaints received, regarding missing persons, since June, 1990 at 16,000. The ICRC issued the statement subsequent to Stillhart meeting Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and FM Samaraweera.
