Group of ex-Parliamentarians of the UPFA are presently holding discussions with the UNP on forming a common political front against former President Mahinda Rjapaksa to contest the forthcoming Parliamentary election.
 The group include Patali Champika Ranawaka, Rajitha Senaratne, Arjuna Ranatunga, M.K.D.S. Gunawardena and several other ex-MPs of the UPFA. Sri Lanka JHU monks party joins coalition with UNP

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s main party of Buddhists monks is set to join the United National Party (UNP) in forming a new coalition to contest upcoming parliamentary election, political sources said a short while ago.
