MALAYSIAN PM MOCKS SRI LANKA’S DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES

The visiting Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has mocked the Sri Lankan government’s development priorities in the war ravaged Tamil homeland.

Mr Razak visited Jaffna today and held talks with the Northern chief minister C.V.Wigneswaran on the provision of Malaysian aid to develop the North.

During the talks, when Mr Wigneswaran pointed out that the Sri Lankan government is investing on zoos in the North, whilst over 50,000 war widows live below the poverty line, the Malaysian prime minister expressed amusement at the Sri Lankan government’s development priorities, sources close to the Northern chief minister told the Tamil Polity.
