British Foreign Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, said that the Metropolitan Police counter-terrorism command has sent a team of specialists to Sri Lanka, including family liaison officers, to support the families of British victims and assist with the repatriation of British nationals killed in the bomb attacks in Colombo.

A recent program run by Interpol involved the training of 30 Sri Lankan forensic specialists and police officers by UK experts in disaster victim identification, he told British Parliament.

“We hope this will be of additional support”, he added.
