JHU, NFF stays away from UPFA parliamentary group meeting

RACISTSSeveral governing party allies who voted against the three controversial gazette notifications under the Strategic Development Act at the last parliamentary session have not been present at the government parliamentary group meeting held on Monday (5).

Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) members, Minister Champika Ranawaka and MP Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero were not present at the meeting. The two JHU members also voted against the bill.

NFF Leader Minister Wimal Weerawansa was also not present at the meeting. He abstained from voting and openly criticized the government for attempting to open big casinos.
