Commenting on his Honour, Councillor Yogan Yoganathan MBE said:
“I am delighted, honoured and privileged to be nominated and recognised in the Queen’s Honours List 2010. I am accepting this unique and prestigious recognition on behalf of all the organisations that I served in the past and continue serving actively.
This honour recognises all of these organisations who continue to work tirelessly delivering their voluntary services. The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames would not be the same without these organisations and the volunteers that work so hard for them.
My appreciation goes to all hard working volunteers, committee members, participants, families, parents and youngsters, who work so hard to develop and enhance community cohesion and equality across the United Kingdom.
May I take this opportunity to wish all our residents a Happy, Peaceful, Healthy and Prosperous 2010.”
