Northern Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran has urged Indian Premier Narendra Modi’s government to implement the 13th Amendment in full to fulfil the political aspirations of Tamils in the North and East.
The Northern Chief Minister had also pointed out, at a press briefing, held at the Chennai Press Club on Monday, that the Tamils had not gained anything politically in spite of the war having ended five years ago.
“There are many difficulties in the 13th Amendment. There will be no political solution found under the unitary system. There are two different administrations taking place in the Northern Province. The Sri Lankan government has a different administration while we carry out a different one from the Northern Provincial Council (NPC),” he said.
