The National Freedom Front (NFF) led by a well known racist Nimal has called upon the government to institute legal action against Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran for allegedly abusing CM’s office, the Northern Provincial Council and government resources for promoting separatism in the North.
Addressing a press conference held at the NFF Headquarters at Battramulla yesterday, NFF Spokesman Mohamed Muzammil said that CM Wigneswaran had invited Tamil political parties and civil organisations to attend an LTTE commemoration ceremony to be held at the Government Mixed School in Mullivaikkal today (18). “This invitation has been sent out in violation of a court order against LTTE commemorations. The agents of Tamil separatism had been lying low before Jan. 08 because the government and Northern Province Governor remained vigilant.
The annual Victory Day celebrations to celebrate the killing of more than 40,000 Tamil Civilians in May 2009 by the Sri Lankan forces under than President Mahinda will be held at the Vihara Maha Devi Open Air Theatre Colombo today and NFF Leaders will be attending this celebration of killing 40,000 Tamil civilians in May 2009.
The ceremony ‘Viruvan Dina Dun Mavubima Rekagamu’ (Protect the Motherland Liberated by Heroes) would be held under the patronage of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is accused of War Crime, organisers said.
