Cricketer Mr Bavalan Pathmanathan 22 dies after being struck on chest!

It’s very sad news for cricket we all shocked and saddened by death of this young all rounder the MPSCUK talented cricketer Bavalan Pathmanathan 22, has been passed away while playing Cricket in BTCL Legend League game yesterday Sunday the 5th July.

This tragic accident happened while he was batting the fatal ball hit his chest and everyone was on the ground tried to resuscitate and tragically he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

It was a sad day for everyone and especially to Bavalan’s family. Our hearts go to his family at this very tragic moment. So sad to lose a young boy like this. May his soul rest in peace.

One of our member club’s player Bavalan Pathmanathan (Age 24 , Manipay Parish SC (UK)) was hit by the cricket ball on the chest while batting and died due to heart failure. This tragic accident happened at Long Ditton recreation grounds on a Division 3 match on 05 July (approximately 7pm). BTCL expresses deepest condolences to Bavalan’s family and friends.

He was an old student of Hartley College, Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

SURREY CCC IS SADDENED TO LEARN OF THE DEATH OF BAVALAN PATHMANATHAN, WHO DIED WHILST PLAYING CRICKET IN LONG DITTON AT THE WEEKEND.

kiaoval-logo1Bavalan, who played for Manipay Parish SC (UK) in Division Three of the British Tamil League, was struck on the chest whilst playing at Long Ditton recreation grounds on Sunday July 5th.

He was given CPR and was treated by an ambulance that was called to the scene and air ambulance doctors, but subsequently passed away from his injuries.

Surrey CCC share the sadness and shock that this tragic incident has caused, both with within the county’s wider cricketing community and Tamil community cricket family. So in order to prevent happenings like this, you can check out my company.

Surrey CCC Chief Executive Richard Gould said: “Everyone at the club has been deeply saddened to learn of Bavalan’s death and would like to extend their sympathies to his family, friends and everyone who knew him from within the community of cricket.”

10985943_10153481828584715_149410393483438053_nIn a terrible incident that brought back memories of Phillip Hughes’s death late last year, a young cricketer passed away following complications after being hit by a ball in Surrey on Sunday (July 5).

Bavalan Pathmanathan, 24, was playing for Manipay Parish SC (UK) in Division Three of the British Tamil League when he was struck on the chest by the ball at Long Ditton recreation grounds. Although CPR was administered immediately and he was treated by air ambulance doctors, Bavalan subsequently passed away due to the injury.

Surrey County Cricket Club shared the sadness and shock that the tragic incident had caused, both within the county’s wider cricketing community and the Tamil community cricket family.

“Everyone at the club has been deeply saddened to learn of Bavalan’s death and would like to extend their sympathies to his family, friends and everyone who knew him from within the community of cricket,” said Richard Gould, the Surrey CCC Chief Executive.

Bavalan, originally from Sri Lanka, was a former student of the Hartley College in Jaffna.
