Dissanayake said that the countries which wanted Rajapaksa out of power had used President Maithripala Sirisena and those around him to achieve their goals. “These countries used Maithripala Sirisena, Rajitha Senaratne, Champika Ranawaka and others to remove Mahinda Rajapaksa from power in January,” he said.
