Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has been working internationally indirectly to help the government to get rid of human right violations committed in the country by the State armed forces during the final leg of war, accused Selvarajah Kajendran, General Secretary of the Tamil National People’s Front in Batticaloa addressing an event held in connection with the opening of election office at Govindan Road.
He further said that very soon Tamils in Batticaloa would lose their voice if their rights are not recognized. The same situation would arise in the Northern Province too shortly. Tamil people in both provinces were facing several problems.
He added that the reconciliation report prepared by the then government of Mahinda Rajapaksa would be of no use as it had been prepared by his government to escape from international pressure.
He added that if Mahinda Rajapaksa became Prime Minister he and the current President Maithripala Sirisena would join hands to work against the interests of the Tamil people in the Northern and the Eastern Provinces. This should be stopped by defeating the TNA at the upcoming general election in both areas.
