Seeman denies instigating attack on Sri Lankan envoy

Naam Tamizhar Katchi founder Seeman has denied instigating the recent attack on the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Malaysia, Ibrahim Sahib Ansar. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on Tuesday told the Sri Lankan Parliament that the attack was carried out not by Sri Lankans but Indian-origin Tamils affiliated to the Naam Tamizhar Katchi. Death penalty for Duminda,four others on split decision

By Chitra Weeraratne Two Judges out of the three High Court Judges, who comprised the trial-at-bar yesterday convicted former Parliamentarian Duminda Silva and four others of the conspiracy to murder and commit the murder of former Parliamentarian and presidential advisor, Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra.
