Premachandran’s withdrawal will not affect TNA’

Leader of the Opposition R Sampanthan says Former Tamil National Alliance Parliamentarian Suresh Premachandran’s resignation is not a grave concern for the party.

Speaking at a media briefing held in Jaffna, the Leader of the Opposition referred to the former MP as simply another individual.

The Opposition leader said he believed that the youth and other parliamentarians within the party will not be influenced by Premachandran’s resignation.

R Samapanthan further said the true result will be made clear through the results of the upcoming Local Government election.

The Opposition leader extended his faith in the President and the Prime Minister adding that he is not expecting to gain any political benefits.

Opposition Leader R Sampanthan also explained his stance on the 2018 budget. He said the budget contained several benefits for the Tamil community.
