Mahinda arrives by helicopter to pay last respects to MP’s daughter

Polonnaruwa district MP and former Deputy Minister Siripala Gamlath’s eldest daughter Ranjala Gamlath Illeperuma passed away yesterday (16) morning. She was said to have contracted Dengue. She was a mother of two and 35 years of age at the time of her death. She had passed away while receiving treatment for Dengue at the National Hospital in Colombo. Ranjala is a graduate of Monash University specializing in Interior Design.

Several political leaders attended the funeral of Ranjala Gamlath Illeperuma, the daughter of businessman and MP of Polonnaruwa Siripala Gamlath, who died of dengue fever.

Ex-president Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived by helicopter provided to him by wealthy businessman Arthur Senanayake, whose son too, died about a year ago of dengue fever.

Among the other participants were Chaturika, daughter of president Maithripala Sirisena. She was seen having a friendly conversation with the ex-president.
