Former President received a Dubai night life gift from Sajin Vass!
It took only one night for Sajin Vaas to take complete control over Mahinda Rajapaksa. The former President met Sajin Vaas for the first time in Dubai. Popular businessman Ravi Wijeratne had acted as the intermediary between the two parties. Sajin Vaas gifted the former President a chance to experience Dubai night life. By the time Mahinda Rajapaksa returned, Sajin Vaas had already become his chief counselor.

Sajin Vaas put Ian Paisley in trouble!
MP of British parliament Ian Paisley has been suspended from parliament for 30 days for violating the rules of the parliament by touring in Sri Lanka. He is a member of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) of Northern Ireland. The party leader, along with certain other politicians, insists that he must resign from his position.
Everyone looks at this issue only from Iran Paisley’s perspective; it is problematic. No person is willing to question the reason why he came to Sri Lanka and other factors behind this matter.
Iran Paisley is facing problems due to touring in Sri Lanka with his family twice in 2013 under the patronage of the Sri Lankan government. According to the rules of the parliament, failing to declare these tours is a serious offense.
This matter was revealed following a complaint made by Eelam supporters with regard to his trips to Sri Lanka. In 2014, Ian Paisley had requested the British PM David Cameron to oppose the complaints against Sri Lanka at the UN Human Rights Council.
Ian Paisley refrained from notifying the PM or the parliament about the two free holidays to Sri Lanka. One special person had managed all aspects of Ian Paisley’s tour to Sri Lanka, including all expenses. That was Sajin Vaas Gunawardena, who at that time held a supervising MP post. He is the person who is behind the problem Ian Paisley is currently facing.
It is not a secret that Sajin Vaas was supported by Mahinda Rajapaksa, and there were absolutely no obstacles for him do what he wanted. G.L. Peiris also recently stated that the then Sri Lankan government had borne all expenses related to Ian Paisley’s tours. However, no person has still explained the background of this story.
Sri Lankan High Commission is not involved
Mujibar Rahuman stated in the parliament that the then Sri Lankan British High Commissioner Chris Nonis must be questioned with regard to this matter. However, in this matter, Chris Nonis cannot be accused since the Sri Lanka High Commission is not involved in this. Mujibar Rahuman’s position is also inaccurate.
G.L. did what Sajin asked him to do
All arrangements for Ian Paisley’s tour were made in Colombo with the full involvement of Sajin Vaas. As G.L. Peiris stated, it is just another story against Rajapaksa administration and we are aware that he does not know anything more. G.L. Peiris just did what Sajin Vaas said, and signed the cheques – he does not know anything more.
Those who know about Sajin Vaas know that despite his actual position, he was closer to Mahinda Rajapaksa than any other person. Former President, First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa, Sajin Vaas was introduced as baggage boy. Moreover, he is a close confidant of the Rajapaksa family.
