Nippon Paint, recently initiated a campaign to galvanize healthcare facilities around Sri Lanka with their latest product 3-in-1 MediFresh which is an antibacterial coating developed with Silver & Zinc ions to keep disease-causing microorganisms at bay. The project to insulate hospitals around the country was initiated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Colombo and has since expanded to several key cities across the country.
The product has been clinically proven to provide protection from disease-causing viruses as per extensive research carried out by two reputed laboratories in Singapore: Productivity & Standards Board (PSB) and TÜV SÜD PSB. Given the positive outcome, the paint has been dubbed the “third layer of protection” against viral diseases, behind masking and vaccination.
Commenting on the product and its reception in Sri Lanka, GM, Nippon Lanka Paint Nemantha Abeysinghe noted: “We are proud to be one of the first paint manufacturers globally to introduce a unique product going beyond the cosmetic & aesthetic functions of paint. 3-in-1 MediFresh has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the local market so far given that it is easy to use and can be applied over a wide range of surfaces without having to remove the existing layer of paint.”
