The General Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers’ Service Union Mahinda Jayasinghe says that the Teachers’ Principals’ Trade Unions are preparing to take a number of strong decisions regarding their actions after next Monday (06).
He states this by releasing a video on social media.
According to reports, the issue of teachers’ principals’ salaries is to be discussed again at the Cabinet meeting next Monday and a decision on their action will be taken after their decision, Jayasinghe said.
He further emphasized that the government should take steps to pay the proposed salary in the first phase based on the report of the Subodhini Committee and it should be gazetted through a circular.
