A secretary has been appointed to the ministry recently given to Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Namal Rajapaksa.
Accordingly, W.H. Karunaratne has been appointed as the Secretary to the Cabinet Ministry of Development Coordination Supervision.
President’s Secretary P.B. Jayasundara under the instructions of the President has issued an extraordinary gazette in this regard as well.
The new Ministry was introduced by combining certain properties belonged to the Ministry of State Minister of Finance Ajith Nivard Cabraal, thereby vesting power with Mr. Rajapaksa in monitoring a number of development projects undertaken by government institutes.
