A maximum retail price of Rs. 3000 will be designated for oximeters via a special gazette today (04) revealed the Health Ministry. The gazette has been signed by Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella.
The move has been taken in response to the conduct of selling oximeters not certified for quality for various high prices in the market. The Minister revealed that they have received information on instances in which oximeters without any standard were sold, adding that a maximum retail price, therefore, will be declared for standardised oximeters.
