Monetary Act passed in Parliament with amendments

The Monetary Act tabled in Parliament has been passed with amendments. Accordingly, the Bill was backed by 134 votes and 44 votes were cast in objection. The Bill was approved without a vote in the third reading with amendments.

The Monetary Act was introduced by the government to expose undisclosed sources of revenue subject to a nominal tax of 01 per cent in the country.
