Faleel Marikkar, a Sri Lankan entrepreneur living in the United Kingdom, has embarked on a mission to introduce a wax figure of Sri Lankan Musical Legend Sunil Perera to Madame Tussauds, the world-famous tourist attraction point in London.

Known for its famous wax sculptures of celebrities around the world, including those of the Royal Family in Britain, Madame Tussauds Museum is a major tourist attraction in London founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud in 1835.
Journalist Saroj Pathirana left a Twitter remark on Marikkar’s efforts to establish this most humble contribution to the field of Sri Lankan Music, saying that the Sri Lankan entrepreneur also plans to make a [PowerPoint] presentation, prepared by Piyal Perera, Sunil’s brother, to convince the wax museum.
The establishment of a wax figure of Sunil Perera, a living legend in the world of Sri Lankan music, at Madame Tussauds, will surely mark the chapter of the annals in Sri Lankan music in the eyes of the international community.
