Control prices imposed on rice wholesale and retail trade removed!

It is reported that the government has decided to remove the control price imposed on rice wholesale and retail trade.

The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting held yesterday (27).

Accordingly, the Extraordinary Gazette Notification issued setting a maximum retail price for rice will be revoked.

The owners of rice mills had warned the government the day before yesterday that they would withdraw from rice production if the price of rice was not increased.
