Army Commander Shavendra Silva states that the curfew will be lifted from 4 am next Friday (01). The Army Commander says that this decision was taken on the instructions of the President.
The islandwide curfew was in effect from 10 pm on August 20th for more than a month and a half.
The Army Commander further stated that the health guidelines which will be implemented after the lifting of the curfew will be published in the next few days.
