Muruththettuwe Thero urges both government and teacher-principal trade unions to be flexible and solve problem

Both the government and the teacher-principal trade unions should be flexible in resolving issues including the struggle against salary anomalies, said Muruththettuwe Ananda Thero, speaking to a group of parents who visited the Abhayarama Temple in Narahenpita and requested the Thera to intervene in the issue of their children’s education.

“We urge the government to be flexible and resolve the issue of the teachers from their end without prolonging and sowing it further. We too are intervening in the matter. For teachers, please be flexible, think about the future of the children, the country and the pandemic and report to teach the children on the 21st, as the government has decided to continue the study activities for children from the 21st,” the Thera said.”
