It is reported that the Chief Executive Officer of the American New Fortress Company, which has entered into an agreement to invest in the Kerawalapitiya Yugadanavi Power Plant, will arrive in Sri Lanka today (12). It is reported that several top officials of the company are currently in Sri Lanka.
According to the agreement, the main purpose of the Chief Executive Officer’s visit is to discuss and explore the activities related to the new ‘Subadanavi’ LNG Power Plant to be constructed at Kerawalapitiya.
The agreement to 40% of the shares in the Yugadanavi power plant has been transferred to the American New Fortress Company and in addition, the rights to supply LNG to Sri Lanka have been transferred to that company.
