Popular actress Visakha Siriwardena, known as the tallest actress in Sinhala cinema, has passed away.
She was 65 years old at the time of her death.
She entered the film industry in 1981 and acted in a number of films such as Saranga, Sanasanna Ma, Anuradha, Sasara Chethana, Suraduthiyo, Sathyagrahanaya, Ehelepola Kumarihami and Sathya Devi. She won the Sarasavi Award for Emerging Actress in 1985 and the OCIC Award for Best Acting in 1986.
She has also acted in a number of teledramas.
