SIS Chief lodges complaint in CID over Easter Sunday Genocide

Major General Suresh Sale, Director General of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), has lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) demanding a probe into the allegations levelled against him on having ties with the extremists responsible for the Easter Sunday Massacre.

Denying every allegation, the SIS Director General pointed out that such false allegations are levelled against officials serving in the state security to embarrass them, thereby demanding a formal investigation.

A group led by Father Syril Gamini also called in a briefing recently and accused him of financially aiding the extremists involved in the attack, he revealed.
