Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Harin Fernando revealed several other controversial issues related to the Easter Sunday bombings in Parliament yesterday (09).
“In April we told this Parliament some information about the Easter attack. I went to Weerasekera several times and asked him to come and discuss with us whether this was wrong or not. Because these are all stories that are not in this Easter Commission volume, but about the evidence given. Why aren’t these coming out?
I will say one more thing today. Two lorries will be seized on April 4, 2019. These two lorries are caught at the Galanigama entrance. This is a testimony. What was in those two lorries, who called the Chief of Police in Sri Lanka and asked them to release this? What was in it, who owns that lorry? On the day of the April 21 bombing, the chief of police I was talking about was at the Malu Malu Hotel in Pasikudah. These are not lies. Who paid the bill for him, whose voucher did he use that day? We ask him to find out and answer if that is possible. I repeat, these are the answers given by the Easter Commission, things that have not come to the volume!
Saharan’s wife Fatima Hadiya has said that there were days when Sri Lankan intelligence officers met with Saharan at home. I am lying that Sarath Weerasekeracan bring in CID officials and tell there was no such statement – no such thing happened in the Presidential Commission. We are not saying these things without any evidence. We do not need to comment on such matters. “
Harin Fernando stated this while addressing Parliament yesterday (09).
