Pressure of vesting unlimited power in government suffered by people: Opposition Leader

The innocent people of this country have to pay the price of vesting unlimited power in the government and its pressure is being suffered by the people, said Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa, speaking to a protest organised by Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Minuwangoda Electoral Organiser Chaminda De Silva against the arbitrary conduct of the government at Minuwangoda town today (11).

It was noteworthy that former Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MP Ruwan Ranatunga also endorsed this protest action.

The government today does not understand the pulse of the people, nor does it recognise the immense suffering of the people, Premadasa pointed out, questioning whether the government has to kneel before the embassies to find solutions.

Gampaha District SJB MP Harshana Rajakaruna, former Provincial Council Member George Perera, SJB Gampaha District Organiser Dhanawardena Guruge and a number of other public representatives were present in the occasion.
