Consular Affairs Division at SL Foreign Ministry temporarily limits services






The Consular Affairs Division of the Foreign Ministry will be temporarily limiting its services from today (22), over a breakdown of the Electronic Document Attestation System (E-DAS), the Ministry said in a statement.

Accordingly, attestation services during the past week have been disrupted resulting in long delays in providing services, the Ministry explained.

The Branch Attestation System at the Regional Consular Offices and Sri Lanka missions overseas will also be affected due to the circumstance, it added.

The Division hence will be able to provide services for only 150 walk-in customers on a daily basis under the situation, from Monday (22), the Ministry further noted, expressing regrets over the inconvenience occurred to the public.
