Sri Lanka has enough crude oil for 26 days: Gammanpila

The Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery has enough crude oil for twenty six (26) days from today, said Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila, speaking at the occasion of resuming the operations at the Refinery today (07).

About seven hundred thousand (700,000) barrels of crude oil have been delivered at a cost of US$59 million, the Minister revealed, adding that the Refinery, accordingly, will be operational from today onwards.

Gammanpila also added that further measures are being taken to guarantee a continuous supply of crude oil in the future.
