Spiritual Leader of the Bohra Community Dr. Seyedina Mufaddal Saifuddin Saheb called on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the President’s private residence in Mirihana this (11) morning.
About one million people of the Bohra Community live in many parts of the world including India, Pakistan, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, Sri Lanka and Australia. The Spiritual Leader of the Bohra Community said he was pleased to visit Sri Lanka as a country he adores and promised to made future visits to the country with his followers.
Dr. Seyedina Mufaddal Saifuddin Saheb appreciated the Sri Lankan government’s efforts to control the Covid-19 pandemic and expressed his confidence on the country being developed.
President Rajapaksa thanked the Bohra Spiritual Leader for his contribution to the Covid Itukama Fund and appreciated the contribution of the Bohra Community to the Sri Lankan economy through investment and trade.
Chief Adviser to the President Lalith Weeratunga and several members of the Bohra Community were present in the occasion.
