The Government Medical Officers’ Forum (GMOF) writing to Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella urged immediate legal and disciplinary actions against a person who goes by the name Naveen De Soysa for allegedly soliciting sexual bribes over the appointments of new lady doctors at the office premises of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA).
The GMOF claimed that the aggrieved lady doctors have provided information on the incident and that it is preparing evidence pertaining to the matter. Accordingly, the GMOF urged the Minister to ensure these doctors’ safety by taking immediate legal actions.
The copies of the letter sent by the GMOF have also been forwarded to the Justice Minister, the Public Service Commission and the Health Secretary.
