PM Mahinda Resigned

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has resigned from the Premiership a short while ago. His resignation comes at a time when an islandwide curfew has been imposed after pro government supporters clashed with anti government supporters in Colombo and several other parts of the country. On Friday, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had informed his brother to step down from the post as a solution to solve the ongoing political crisis.
