President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who had reportedly fled on a ship after thousands stormed his official residence in Colombo, has now returned to shore. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has left the country for overseas, the Daily Mirror learns. Rajapaksa who was aboard a naval vessel within the territorial waters of Sri Lanka following the July 9 protest, left the country today.  Rajapaksa will resign from the Presidency on July 13 following which Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will be sworn in as the President for a temporary period of time. (Jamila Husain)
